My vision as Director
[as Writer]
[as Editor]
As director my objective is to be ready to capture emotions. From the first reading of the script, to the shooting and the editing, my focus is on to be able to grab the basic elements of the story, be sure that they are immortalized by the film and became accessible to the audience.
Sir Alfred Hitchcock said "the screen rectangle must be charged with emotions" and this is exactly what I try to do with every frame. Thinking about a movie as a sequence of still pictures in movement makes every captured fraction of reality from the camera a unique and irripetible moment.
My personal method is based on these four pillars:
- Knowledge of the subject: deep analisys of the characters, stories and scenes
- Team work: sharing the vision with the crew is an extreme important element for the success of every project. I believe that is necessary a creative team work to enrich the vision and make it unforgettable.
- Organization make the creativity work: intensive pre-production activity with collaborators to share and enrich the vision and to anticipate future problems
- Be ready for the emotions: in production is important be full of energy and open to receive the flow of emotions that come from the set and that we must capture to be able to make the audience feel them.
- Editing, finally the movie is alive: editing a movie is like put together pieces from a puzzle without their shapes limitations. It's important consider the necessity of the editing since the pre-production to give continuity to the vision: from paper to film.
