As editor my objective is to serve the story. My work is put togeter the fragements of reality consistent with the director vision.

When an audience watches a movie, is able to be amazed, to suspend his disbilief to accept a new and unexpected world. For this reason the editor must have the ability to look at the footage with new eyes, he must be ready to analize technically the material but, at the same time, be willing to be thrilled and amazed by the footage.

Sometimes this new point of view is exactly what make the editor able to find unexpected and hid pearls.

I believe that is in the cutting room that the movie borns. Up to that moment it's been just a dream (the screenplay) and a discontinued bunch of fraction of reality (the footage). Thanks to the work of the editor the dream comes true and continuity is shaped.

Before starting the fine editing, I approach the material:

• Look at the whole project
• Editing of a complete rough cut with all the scene to check the dramatic structure of the story according to the relationship between scenes
• Editing scene by scene
